If you have something underway that isn't yet paper-worthy, but that might interest the wider world, here's your chance! This year's session chair is Michael W Lucas. In the WIP session, audiences are entertained and informed by a rapid fire series of short talks on interesting new or on-going work by individuals or groups. Slides are permitted, but not obligatory; if you have slides, pictures and diagrams are highly recommended. Topic areas include new open source software projects, works in progress for future releases of existing projects, student projects, etc. WIP topics this year may make good conference papers next year! The number of slots is limited, and experience suggests there will be more takers than slots. Speakers will be selected to give a balance between projects. Early signups are more likely to be taken than later ones. Please e-mail wip at bsdcan.org to sign up. Send a one or two paragraph summary of the topic to be presented, and the names of the person(s) presenting it. Also, please give a time estimate of one to five minutes. The time limit will be strictly enforced. If you run over, the chair will gleefully cut you off. The WIP e-mail registration deadline is 2 June, after which remaining slots (if any) may be signed up for in person. If you have slides, the session chair must receive them in PDF format, via email, before 11:59 PM EDT on 8 June. See you in Ottawa! ==ml -- Michael W.
